2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
This month we want to encourage those of you who are reading this page to "Study the word of God". Why would Paul find it so important to remind Timothy about studying to show thyself approved?
Life has a way of taking up every space of our day. Our children need us and school activities have to be tended to, careers take up 8 or more hours of the day, household chores, your favorite TV shows have their space, some are caring for their elderly parents or working towards their dreams. When do we Study the Word of God, what time does that have in our day?
We encourage you to find space in your 24 hour day to sit quiet before the Lord and study his word. Living Holy Ministries will begin posting a monthly bible study on this page with a scripture for every week to bless your soul.
In order for us to grow in Christ we must be able to "rightly" divide the word of God. We can read the word, but as Paul instructed Timothy, we want to be able to instruct others by "rightly" dividing the word.
Hosea 4:6
my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.
